The "ranger" at the church (it is a historic building, open to the public) had placed signs outside which read "Closed for Wedding," and so, as we opened the door to leave, were greeted by Japanese tourists with a cheerful Congwadulations!
This is a place to share my thoughts about being a stay-at-home American dad in New Zealand. I can say right now that Kiwis are a curious breed indeed, and I have plenty of time to soak in their cultural stew (which smells like fish n' chips by the way). This is also a good place to get insider tips if your thinking of coming downunder-er. My perspective is real and the dice are hot, so kick back, relax and enjoy my World.

Holy Logan
Last weekend our Little Man took the baptismal plunge at Church of the Good Shepherd, Lake Tekapo. With Father Jim presiding over the intimate service, Logan was heartily welcomed into the Catholic faith, despite trying to drink the holy water. Our good friends Mike and Ceceil graced us with their presence, being happily nominated "Unofficial New Zealand Godparents"/ event photographers.

Scott, how did you know the top picture was my favorite one. It is either to the floor or allow his head to get sprinkled. I am so happy you made such beautiful photos. Grandma Carolyn
ReplyDeleteMike and Cecile look like the greatest persons. Mike held Logan in the last photo as though he were his own son. Thanks sooo much for helping to make Logan's Baptism a matter of several hearts. Grandma Carolyn
