Rod & Reel: Chapter 1
Apparently Pukaki Bay is devoid of fish. We floated gobs of squid and limpet along the sandy bottom for a few hours without even the slightest nibble. My buddy Mike took a dive however and scored a few mussels and paua (abalone) while all I got was this lousy landscape shot....

Scott, consider there might be something in that Lake that is bigger than the abalone and has eaten all the fish. I look forward to the continuing chapters. Perhaps the fish were all on the bottom because of the cold.
